Jessica Tanzer - Rosa And Daria Blank Journal
Jessica Tanzer is a San Francisco based photographer and card carrying member of Tank Hill Crew.
During the AIDS crisis and during Tanzer's involvement with activist groups like ACT UP and Queer Nation she, along with her models, producers and publishers and all involved used art to bring awareness to the importance of safe sex (note the rubber glove in Rosa's pocket) and rampant homophobia during a time of plague, right wing government and widespread misinformation campaigns. She studied at San Francisco Art Institute.
Cornell University's Human Sexuality Collection has acquired Jessica Tanzer's archives where they join the papers of Susie Bright, On Our Backs, Tee Corinne, Honey Lee Cottrell and many other trailblazers of queer history.
